Hidden Smile

5.      Hidden Smile

This piece is a second version, my favourite and the one that represents all my brand.

On a rainy day, during my workday, and with a half-empty schedule, I decided to make a design.

I went to the spa office, and there I got a piece of paper, and a pen, after one hour this was the result.

The first canvas was with a red background and some mandalas. I sold this one in Spain before finishing it, to Veronica Martinez, it was not easy to detach myself from that painting, but I had to do it, I had to share my art. It is the only way for me to continue creating.

After a year, I started this collection that I am introducing to you.

Elephants were in my mind since I went to Thailand in 2017, and since I create the red one this same year.

Then in December 2018, after four paintings and a lot of motivation, I started to recreate the magnificent golden elephant. Still, this time I would make it big and with my favourite combination colours, blue and gold.

My mind only was focusing on creating the best piece of art I had made in my life, at that moment a new love appeared in my life, I felt in that period that everything was flowing, and all those moments made me create a unique piece.

But not all was easy.

I am going to tell you how I managed to take the canvas from the shop to home, I was a little resistant to buy online, and the store where I purchased all my material was close to my work, to be concrete.

I worked in high street Kensington and lived in Hammersmith grove.

That was a pleasant walk or bus ride, so when I bought the canvas, the street was full of people so that I couldn't use the bus at a busy time.

Regularly I was travelling to work on a manual scooter, so I put it on this scooter and dragged it for 40 min walking very delicately and carefully at home.

I remember that I spent a week with an empty canvas; it was imposing. I had never drawn a size like this one.

I remember that this canvas, had the plastic that protects it, and I used it as a mirror to see how my clothes fit, all during that first week.

When I started, I felt that I flowed all the time I drew, the hours became minutes, and the minutes became seconds. You know, that happens when you do what you're passionate and focus on it or any other love. Pure flow.

Weeks passed, and each layer to add was getting better and better results.

As an artist, I always try to seek perfection; it is complicated and decisive to know when the painting is done. Well, in this I knew it as soon as I gave the last brushstrokes. And I decided not to put it up for sale until now, this one was all the time at home as a decorative screen to separate my shower shaking in my studio for over a year, and then I travelled to Reyne park.

I am glad to know that you are sure dressing the walls elegantly and subtly. If you feel your mind with any problem, look at it, and you will see that eternal hidden smile, make this elephant your confidant.

Thank you for being part of this.
